Esther is a co-founder of HcareGo and leads all software engineering for the platform. She is currently the Lead Software Engineer at SpeedGoat Wildlife Solutions, where she oversees web, API, and database development for wildlife data analysis applications. Before that, she spent two and a half years as a software engineer, DevOps engineer, and database administrator with Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, and completed internships in Android and quality assurance engineering at onXmaps.

Esther grew up in Missoula and holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science with a Biology minor from the University of Montana (2022). As a lifelong Montanan and thyroid cancer survivor, the mission to strengthen healthcare staffing — and by extension patient care — is personal. She is here to build software that actually solves it. When she is away from the computer, she is most likely telemark skiing or whitewater kayaking somewhere in Montana.

Trevor Nei is the founder of HcareGo and a former CNA who worked in Montana's healthcare system firsthand. He is currently studying cybersecurity at the University of Montana. He started HcareGo because he saw what understaffed shifts do to patients and caregivers alike — and believed a better model was possible.
